GALA DINEE! UNIEK! HISTORIES! RELEVANT!
Dié besondere dinee word in 2011 deur die Bybelgenootskap van Suid-Afrika (BSA) vir sake-, gemeenskap-, kultuur- en kerkleiers in Gauteng aangebied wanneer die 400ste bestaansjaar van die King James Bybelvertaling (KJV) herdenk word.
Wêreldwyd waar Engelse Bybels gebruik word, word 2011 feestelik gevier om die 400ste bestaansjaar van hierdie gewilde Bybel te herdenk. Hierdie vertaling het deur die eeue diep spore gelaat op beide die Engelse taal en kultuur.
(Die BSA was met sy stigting in 1820 ‘n tak van die Britse en Buitelandse Bybelgenootskap en het eers in 1965 ‘n onafhanklike outonome organisasie geword. Die BSA is lid van die Wêreldraad van Bybelgenootskappe wat uit 145 Bybelgenootskappe bestaan en in 200 lande werksaam is.)
By die unieke dinee gaan die klem nie net op die Engelstalige KJV val nie, maar daar word ook op al die Bybelgenootskap se Bybelvertalings gefokus - die 11 amptelike tale van Suid-Afrika!
Die tema van die aktuele geleentheid is, Living The Translated Scriptures – a modern day challenge, met PROF PIET NAUDÉ, direkteur van die Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) Business School, as gasspreker.
Prof Naudé, ‘n professor in etiek, is ‘n bekende spreker in Suid-Afrika, Afrika en die buiteland het talle nasionale en internasionale toekennings ontvang. Bekendstelling van prof Naudé word deur die bekende sakeleier, BRAND PRETORIUS, Hoof Uitvoerende Beampte: McCarthy Beperk, gedoen.

CV: PROF PJ NAUDE
Piet Naude is Professor of Ethics and as of 1 October 2008 the first full-time Director of the NELSON MANDELA METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY (NMMU) BUSINESS SCHOOL in Port Elizabeth.
He obtained the MA in Social Ethics (cum laude) and doctor’s degree in Theology from the University of Stellenbosch. He received numerous national and international academic awards; he is holder of the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Foundation scholarship (University of Heidelberg, Germany) and life member of the Centre for Theological Inquiry at Princeton University in the USA. He has published more than 60 articles in academic journal in Afrikaans, English, German and Dutch.
His ability to link theory and practice has made Piet Naude an invited speaker at numerous conferences and business occasions. He has led seminars in a variety of well-known regional and national companies like Shatterprufe, The Mantis Group, ABSA, Standard Bank, Sabco, Portnet and Sasol, and he has in recent years spoken at three international medical conferences on social ethics and health care. Against top competition, he was awarded the Kamutsu- prize for best speaker in 2006 by the South African Institute of Quarrying.
Piet serves on a small team of consultants, assisting the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) in their ethics program for trainee accountants. He is the Immediate Past President of the Business Ethics Network of Africa (BEN-Africa) represented in more than 20 African countries, and has just been elected on the Executive Committee of ISBEE (International Society for Business, Ethics and Economics
Apart from his academic and seminar work, Piet writes a weekly column, Boardroom Basics, for the business section of The Eastern Province Herald, and a monthly column in Leef, an
Afrikaans magazine.
